Bombay Burrito (Angel)
Updated: Nov 15, 2019
No frills fast food place, 'Bombay Burrito' in Angel serves up burritos with an Indian twist. It's 3 vegan options are clearly labelled and it currently has another branch in Boxpark Wembley.
The venue is small, (most people seem to take out their food rather than eating it in), there's simple high seating opposite pop art of Bollywood stars.

Vegan Options:
THE BIG VEGAN BURRITO
Dai vadas, cashews, in a wholewheat tortilla
DAI VADA SALAD
Spinach and red lentil fritters mixed with coriander, chutneys, leaves, peanut, carrot, coconut, tomato kachumber and beetroot
DAI VADA WRAP
Dai vada wrap - with spinach and red lentil fritters mixed with coriander, chutneys, leaves, peanut, carrot, coconut, tomato kachumber and beetroot

The burrito is presented simply, foil wrapped, essential once you start eating as it is pretty generously filled.

I loved this burrito. The crispy dai vada was delicious, perfectly spiced and crunchy on the outside. The rice, salad and onion were covered in curried chickpeas and a mango chutney sauce. It was a perfect combination, resulting in a super flavourful and juicy wrap, which had just the right amount of tang and spice. You can turn the temperature up or down depending on your preference, you can add chillies and staff will ask you how spicy you would like the sauce.
A regular sized burrito was £5.95 so was pretty standard London lunch pricing. Staff were pleasant but quiet and not especially interactive. Overall I had a good experience here and would definitely return for a quick bite!
Overall I gave them:
Staff: 3/5
Setting: 2/5
Presentation: 3/5
Taste: 5/5
Value for Money: 4/5
Best for: Quick Bites
