Crepe Affaire - Shoreditch High Street
Crepe chain 'Crepe Affaire' have recently started promoting their vegan crepes, and out of curiosity I paid them a visit in their Spitalfields location for breakfast...
The inside was pretty typical of quick bite chain, with a central countertop and close together seating surrounding it, intended for a quick stay.
VEGAN CHEEKY MONKEY CREPE

VEGAN CHOCOLATE GALETTE
VEGAN CHOCOLATE, STRAWBERRIES AND DREAMS CREPE
VEGAN SPICY CHICK'N GALETTE
with Mexican rice, salsa, and vegan cheese
with tomato, spinach, mushroom, and vegan cheese (available GF)
I went for the chocolate, strawberries and dreams crepe with vegan cream. The edges of the crepe were a little dry, but towards the middle where it was packed with chocolate and cooked strawberry it was perfect. The chocolate they use is actually Nutella and it was perfectly gooey in the middle because of this.
The cream was of the aerosol variety, really sweet with a slight vanilla flavour, and I LOVE cream, this was a perfect substitute. Overall, it was satisfying and tasty but nothing particularly special.
This was a small meal, perfect for breakfast but definitely not enough for lunch, and at £7.45 I thought it was unbelievably expensive for what it was! Staff were quick, efficient and friendly enough in the quick exchanges I had with them!
