Eat of Eden - Brixton
I ended up in Eat of Eden totally by accident, I intended to go elsewhere but they were closed on Mondays. I have no regrets, it was amazing!
Eat of Eden is a totally vegan Caribbean restaurant, it is teeny tiny, with a few tables inside and outside, it offers take-aways and is clearly incredibly popular, they had a steady stream of customers the entire time and that was on a completely non peak hour, on a Monday.

The casual seating at the front is a little bit sheltered from the buzz of Brixton Village as it's right in the front, it's also away from the street and covered if it rains. I can see that seating might be a bit of an issue at busier times of the week as there really isn't that much of it.

Pop around the corner and theres another bench that creeps more into Brixton Village. As you can see, seating is simple, clean, and depending on where you are, surrounded by cool graffiti...

We went not particularly hungry, so decided to share an Eden platter, they also do this as a 2 person sharing dish, which we spied other people having, it's huge! Our dish was still pretty big, perfect for us.

The 8 dishes we chose were; Callaloo; Rainbow salad; Plantain; Lentil stew; Ackee and sweet potato; Chickpea curry; Pumpkin and sweet potato (above) and Avocado and and olive salad (below).

All of it was so tasty, so fresh and felt so healthy. None of those dishes felt greasy, and it was such a nutrient rich platter that I felt amazing after it.
The callaloo was my absolute favourite. I also am a massive sucker for fried plantain, and it was the perfect combo with the other dishes. It was really nice to have that fried, slightly sweet combo in amongst all the curries. The salads were also super fresh.

Staff were pleasant and efficient. My contact with them was minimal because it's a fast service type of place, but they were smiley, open and approachable. Here's one of them (above) and a chance to sneak a peak at their inside seating!

We paid £16.95 for the 1 person Eden platter and shared it, which is perfectly reasonable. If you were going to go for the 2 person platter at £28.95 (you'd have to both be very hungry) then the price goes up, but honestly even then for the quality cooking and the fresh combintaion of ingredients it still feels totally acceptable!
I am so happy I went here, it is such an amazing place to eat at with such tasty food. I would wholeheartedly recommend and would be so happy to go back!
