Le Pain Quotidien - Various Locations
Updated: Oct 15, 2019
Belgian cafe 'Le Pain Quotidien' is another chain which has recently started offering vegans loads more delicious vegan options, and most of them super healthy - amazing! My friend also needed gluten free options and they have plenty, including gluten free bread.
The inside of the Highgate branch is bright, warm and welcoming, you can smell the bread as you step into the door, and all the amazing pickles and jams on the left hand side of the below picture are for sale. Staff were pleasant, a little indifferent and easy to find when needed.

Interior seating was spaciously set, simple and unfussy, it was a lovely day and their amazing garden was busy, but in the winter the inside would make such a cute hang out!

The garden was super sunny but there was loads of shade, plants everywhere, and a trellis at the back. It was quiet and calm away from the main road, the perfect garden hide out.

Vegan Options on the Menu:
Breakfast:
Organic Raspberry Crunola Parfai (GF)
Flower Power Bowl
Avocado Toast (available GF)
Lunch:
Avocado Toast (available GF)
Vegan sharing platter
Chili Sin Carne
Vegan Cauliflower and Butternut Coconut Curry
Lebanese Meze (available GF)
Organic Lentil and Avocado Salad (GF)
Super Grains Bowl

The Lebanese meze was simple but wholesome tasting, it was a little pricey for what it was, but certainly fresh, the bread was freshly baked, and cut into thickly wedged slices, and the beetroot dip was subtle, tangy and was great to dip the bread in. The falafel was slightly dry but went well with both the dal and beetroot dip. I felt healthy and energised after the plate and after their delicious organic lemonade.
